ServerCity cares about your privacy policy. We only collect and use data that are necessary to provide our services. This might be:

• Other data that directly or indirectly can be used to identify you

This privacy policy is meant to describe for you how and what data we collect, and how and why we use your personal data. It also describes what choice we give you to access, update and/or in any way take control over the personal data we process.

What data do we collect?

We collect information about you so we can provide you with the best experience when you use our services. Most of the data you give directly to us when you:

• Create a client account through our support systems (eks: invoice information like name, address, credit card, identification papers)
• Ask for help from our support service team and give information like telephone number and email address.
• Fill out a contact form or sign up for our news letteror other information (eks email or phone number)
• Participate in competitions, campaigns, user surveys, apply for a job or participate in other activities that demand that we collect information about you.

When we deliver you our services we might also collect other information about you, to make sure we deliver necessary and optimal usage of our service. Here is the information regarding what these are and how they function:

Information connected to your user account: when you use our services, by purchasing a service, when a service is renewed, customer support and requests, and notes that explain what you have asked for and how we replied to you.

Information about service usage: Will be collected automatically when you use and interact with our services, incl metadata, logging files, information cookies/unit and placement. This information includes specific data about your interaction with our services, content and links, IP-addresses, browser (with configurations and extensions), date when the service was used, language settings and information cookies, information regarding your unit (operating system, settings, applications IDs, ID on the unit and error messages. Some of this information can be used by us to give us your location.

Supplementing information might be collected from other sources, for instance public databases or bought through a third party. Such information can in some cases be combined with data we alreddy posess so we can update, expand and correct our data. It can also be used to identify new customers and offer more relevant products and services that might be of interest. If you provide personal information about others, or others give us your personal data, it will only be used for the purpose that are listed on the time we receive the information.

This is how we use the information

We beleave in minimizing the data we collect and limit the usage for the purpose it: 1) has been given permission to, 2) is nessecary to provide services and use it, or 3) we are obligated to collect, permission to after delivery, or other legal purposses. These include: 

Deliver, enhance, update and develop the services we deliver to you. We collect information related to your purchases, usage and/or interaction with our services. We use that information to:

• Enhance and optimize the preformance and usage of our services
• Control and identify security risks, errors or necessary extensions to our services
• Discover and prevent scams and abuse of our services and systems.
• Collect statistics about the usage of our services
• Understand and analyse how you use our services and what products and services that are relevant to you

Often the information we collect is statistics data about how our services are used, and is not connected to personal data. In the cases where it is connected to personal data, or is linked/can be linked to a person, we will treat it appropriately.

Sharing with a trusted third party. We can share your personal data with connected companies within the same company group, with a third party we collaborate with to deliver our services, and with our suppliers when that is necessary for them to fulfill their services to us. For instance:

• Processing purchases made with credit card or by invoice.
• Deliver advertising
• Sending out customer surveys or host competitions
• Perform analyzes of our services and customer demographics
• Communicate with you through email or send you the customer surveys

We only share the information that is necessary for the third party to fulfill their service. These third parties are subject to strict data processor agreements and the conditions hinders them from use, share or keep your personal data for other purposes than what they are hired to deliver (or without your consent).

Communicate with you.We can contact you directly or through a third party regarding products and services you have ordered or bought from us, in order to deliver transaction based or service related inquiries. We can also contact you with offers for more services that we think you will find interesting if you give your consent to this, or where it is permitted on legitimate interests. It is not mandatory to give us this consent in order to purchase our services. These inquiries can include email, text messages or phone conversations.

If we collect information in regards to a service that we resell from a third party, it will be shown clearly when we collect it. It will also give you choices on how you use or share your private data with a third party as far as it is possible.

If you use a service that allow you to create or import contacts (for instance: email accounts), we will only use the contact information that you have given when you ordered the service. If you suspect that someone has entered your personal information incorrectly or abused your personal information, and want it removed from our database, please contact us at post@servercity.no.

Transfer of data abroad. If you use our services from a different country than where our services is located, it will result in that your communication with us will be done over international borders. Your data will in these cases be treated in regards to this privacy policy.

Cooperation with the police authority: We cooperate with the police authorities in accordance with the laws of Norway. We will provide information about you after we have received a court order from the competent authorities. If we have the opportunity, we will notify you of such extradition.

Analythic tools for our website. We use several tools supplied by providers like Google Analytics and Piwik to collect information in regards to how you use our website, incuding the sites you visit, what site you were visiting before you visited our website, how long time you spend on each site, what opperating system you use, what browser you use and network- and IP-information.We use this information to enhance our services. These services place a cookie in your browser to identify you as a unique user for the next time you visit our website. Every cookie can not be used by other than the supplier of the service (for example Google for Google Analytics). Information from these cookies can be transferred and stored in other countries than Norway. The information that is collected does not include data like name, addresses, invoice information and so on, but can be used and shared between the different suppliers of analytic tools in compliance with their privacy policy. You can also deactivate these by using extensions like Disconnect and Ghostery on your browser.

Cookies: Ous sites use cookies, or information capsules, in order to provide the best user experience on all channels. Targeted advertising: Targeted advertising or interest-based offers may be presented to you based on your activities on our websites or other sites, based on products you own/rent. These offers can be product banners that will be presented while you visit websites. We also use a third party to administer advertising on our and other websites. This third parties may use technologies like information kapsules to collect information about your activities to be able to give you advertising based on your visiting history and interests, and to measure the affectivity of those adds.

Third party websites: Our website contains links to third party websites. We are not responsible for privacy policy administration or content on the third party website. Please read the privacy policies on the websites you visit.

How you are able to access, update and delete your data

To easy access, update and export your data (where it is possible), or update your account settings, please logg inn to your Client Area and go to My Account ->Account Details.

If you ask for your data to be deleted, but the  data is necessary to deliver a product or service you have bought, we will try to fulfill your request as far as it can be done.

How we secure, store and keep your data

We follow generally accepted standards for storing and protecting the personal data we collect, both while sending and storing it when it is recived, inkluding use of encryption when this is appropriate. Our Client Area have a 2-step authentication, through Google Authenticator, that we recommend our clients to use.

We keep your data only as long as it is  necessary to deliver the service you have ordered. In some cases your data is kept for a period after. This can be due to:

• Requirements by a competent authority, contract or other obligations for our business.
• To maintain, solv, defend or

• To preserve, resolve, defend or maintain our legal or contractual requirements.

Our services are available to buy for anyone over the age of 18. Our services is not targeted or ment to attract individuals under the age of 18. If you know or have any reason to believe someone under 18 have given personal data to us, we ask you kindly to make contact with us.

Changes in our privacy policy

We reserve the right to change our privacy policy. The changes will be notified on the chanels we deem sufficient, to keep you aware regarding what information we collect and how we use it, and under what conditions. If we make significant changes, you will be notified by email and / or via our website 30 days in advance.
